Salutations from your RC!My goal of more communication within Region E-2 has fallen grossly short! I have been the Regional Coordinator for almost a year now and have not succeeded in getting a newsletter out or the website updated. I could list a number of excuses, but I won't bore you, I have just fallen short and I do apologize! If you are interested in helping with these vital communication tools, please contact me. It takes more than one person to be successful. I have succeeded in recruiting State Reps from Western Texas, Central Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma (some returning, some new). I still need help in Arkansas! If you are a NAME member in Arkansas and willing to help, please contact me, spdavis1@gmail.com or (405) 623-4780. I would love to discuss the position with you. Arkansas deserves to be represented! I am very fortunate to be able to travel the USA attending miniature shows and I have met several of you at different shows throughout the past year. I "manned" NAME tables at the Lubbock, TX Show, Texas Miniature Showcase in Dallas, TX and at the IMA Show in New Orleans, LA this past year. I was really pleased with the opportunity to meet and talk to both members of NAME and those that did not have a clue there was such an organization. To me, letting people know they are not alone, they are not crazy and there are other people in their area that loves miniatures as much as they do, is vital to the survival of our hobby. If I can help you with getting the word out about NAME and our hobby in your area, please contact me and I will see if I can work something out. Communication is very important in my books, but I can't do it alone! We need interaction all across the region. Let me know your concerns, what you are doing, if you have a club in your area (whether it is open for new members or not), shops in your area, displays you are involved with in your area, do you have a website, do you make and sell miniatures, tell me about shows you have attended, things you like from other regions, anything you would like to share with like minded individuals, let me know. Would you be interested in joining a Yahoo group for our Region? Facebook? What would work best for you to interact with the Region? E-mail (spdavis1@gmail.com) is the easiest way to share any of this information with me. We all have to work together to make this region shine! Let's make the next year a good communication year.
